Wonders

Sky

Look up at the sky…

a universe of wonders are up high…

blue and white contrast…

to make a magnificent effect.

From here will come the rain for crops to grow,

brilliant white snow for us all,

and somewhere up there,

lies the kesai hakovod.

walk down a street…

a world of wonders will unfold,

mysterious untold,

English: Street in Bucharest after the rain

people live their lives here,

each with a different story,

each street has housed dozens of people’s history.

hundreds of people,

each with a life their own,

have walked down this same road.

Look up at a tree.

A full-sized tree.

green and brown,

it takes the rain in,

and will bring it out,

when comes the time for it to sprout.

it has seen perhaps over a hundred years of history.Tasmania, Styx valley. This Eucalyptus regnans...

the fashions come and go,

people stay and people leave,

leaving their generations in their steed.

it watches how the world changes,

how some things stay the same.

you ask what is to thank for,

and I have listed but three,

“common” things we see every day,

which have so much beauty,

if only we would stop and see.

my challenge to you:

stop and notice a regular object.

what do you see?

I was just recently scrolling through the comments and saw all the awesome, inspiring stuff the readers say.

here is a list of the most recent comments that are simply-words from the soul:

      • Devorah‘s list of things to be thankful for:1. fruits
        2. vegetables
        3. cups to drink from
        4. fingers that can type
        5. buses
        6. trains
        7. glasses
        8. makeup
        9. shoes
        10. phones
        11. books
        12. games
        13. traffic lights
        14. grocery stores
        15. keys
      • Devora-We had our fair share of spiritual earthquakes this summer. Let’s take the message. We don’t need the shakes to get any worse.
      • Devora–  I learned that there are all sorts of people who are looking for inspiration…and everyone needs it…even those people you think would never ask for it. So many people are thirsting for words of chizuk and I’m glad to be able to provide them with thoughts that keep them going.
      • Nrhatch– S.M.I.L.E. ~ See Miracles In Life Everyday.
      • Marie– So many things we take for granted – help us to reflect on our lives and give thanks  for every little something.
      • Princess lea– My blog reminded me how much I love writing, and I love the fact that I have an outlet for it. Conversations between bloggers and readers allow for the exchange of ideas, not limiting us to our own daled amos and the people within; we can branch across different types of communities and thoughts. And I get more makeup tips from readers.
      • Doctor food truth-We ALWAYS have another chance as long as we have another breath.
  • Princess lea-My mother grew up in the old country; there are so many amazing things we have nowadays that we take for granted.

We need to be reminded how these little conveniences in life add up to so much, and not to focus on the things we don’t have.

What my grandmother would have done for a Kitchen Aid standing mixer.

  • Devorah-we should pray for all those children and teens whose souls have been lost…that they be returned…and that they see the beauty in living life to the fullest!

thank you to my awesome commenters!

some of you may have noticed that even though you had a great comment,I did not post it.

that is because i only posted the more recent ones, and I did not post two comments, by the same person, about the same subject.

And to all of you who have just finished reading this post, take the hint:comment!
